I would be grateful for any thoughts contributors might have about the provision of Personal Accident Insurance for employees.
Personally I think it is an unnecessary waste of money and an indication that the risk assessment for the activity is incomplete.
What do others think?

Hi Bob,
I would think that personal accident insurance may be justified for certain special activities. The sort of thing that I am thinking of here would be service engineers going to a high risk country or perhaps teachers accompanying students on certain trips abroad.
For routine tasks at work in this country we should be reducing the risk SFARP.
