I am trying to find details of how to write a 'basis of safety' for a chemical reaction.

I have the recent HSE guidance on reaction hazards, but this does not have much on the specific requirements.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I think what you need is something such as one of the reactants is added under conditions such that it will be consumed as added so no accumulation occurs. However I would like to know more about the background to your question. Please call me on 01257 278848 to discuss.
