Posted By Stephen Eckersley Could someone tell me what the legal position is of Magazines who advocate a health & safety approach eg: "How to lift your motorcycle" when it could be claimed innapropriate in that if the person reading was a Motorcylcle courier employed by a company. He took the magazines advice and then hurt himself as a result. Cheers!

Posted By Peter Harvey Stephen,
Don't most magazines carry the "disclaimer" along the lines of - The opinions and views expressed in this magazine are not necessarily those of the editors and publishers etc....
So this is a difficult one, if however it was a professional magazine published by a professional body, I would think it right that you took professional views from it. On the other hand would a good publisher publish information that was in anyway unsafe and would it be negligent to do so?
A bit legal for me.
