Does anyone know of a company that supplies office furniture for 'non standard' people, i.e. tall, small and extremely heavy people?

As you might imagine, there are many companies happy to provide specialist furniture - both chairs and desks etc, but you will hav to pay a premium for it.

Have you first considered whether (perhaps following a risk assessment) you can identify the specific problem for an individual and then get their existing workstation adapted accordingly - using your own in-house resources?

If you want to, or have to go the new furniture route, you could contact any of the major manufacturers - many of them appear to be Scandinavian. It would not be approriate to list companies here, as I would inevitably miss many out, but if you would like to give me a ring (or email at John.Ridd@btinternet.com) I would be happy to discuss the issues further.

It is also worth noting, if you are not already aware, that ISO 9241 now requires that consideration be given to the selection of height adjustable desking - which can be adjusted from the normal working position.
