Posted By Juliet Fennell Can anyone inform me if there are minimum sizes for emergency stops on machinery or electrical equipment. I have it in my head they they must be of a certain size and must be mushroom shaped. Is there anyone who has this information and could e mail it to me. Many thanks, Juliet.

Posted By Nick Higginson Juliet, There is some information on this in the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regs 1998 (PUWER)Regs 14 - 18 and the guidance then refers to National standards, but doesn't give specific references. There is a British Standard BS EN418:1992 - Safety of Machinery, which I think is what you're looking for. Regards, Nick
