Posted By Andrew Powell Dear All, I am currently obtaining a couple of quotes for a Fire RA. Have one suitable local (North Wales) company so far, but must obtain one or more quotes to ensure value/competitive quote etc. I would appreciate anyone’s factual recommendation of a company or person. I would like to move quickly for obvious reasons and especially as I have one company’s quote in hand. Thanks in advance Andrew Powell

Posted By Lance Morgan A search on the web for fire risk assessments will bring up any number of results of companies who will undertake fire risk assessments but be careful who you employ. We recently used a company to do assessments across five hospital sites. The quality of the assessments was poor to average with many inacurate survey findings unneccessary and expensive recommendations made. Choose very carefully. My advice would be to contact your local fire service who may be able to recommend or put you in touch with a company or retired officer who does consultancy work.

Posted By shaun mckeever Lance, It is probably too late now but I have carried out fire risk assessments for a major teaching hospital in London. They are very satisfied with my reports and have retained me as an advisor. I will be glad to help you out if I can. Best regards, Shaun
