Posted By Kevin Vinson Hi Steve Try the safety news website. If you scolldown to the bottom of their web page it gives you a list of Health & Safety topics. Select the one you require and it then gives you a list of training providers. Hope this helps..! Kevin http://www.safetynews.co.uk/training.htm

Posted By Stuart Nagle Steve. Contact Water Training International (WTi). They have a web site that is accessable via a UK search under 'WTi' that lists all their courses and conytact points. Regards... Stuart Nagle

Posted By David Scott You could try your insurers as they are your competent person (I guess) and most do run such courses. Zurich and Norwich Union for 2!

Posted By George Wedgwood Have a chat with Alan Fitzpatrick at Royal & Sun Alliance in Manchester Head Office and he will tell you everything you need to know! You don't really want the Directives as they are not really relevant to practical implementation. The UK Regulations are the best in the world (I have shared these with US colleagues before now) and our system of inspection competency is the best developed. The Institution of Mechanical Engineers is also a very good place to get information and they regularly hold technical seminars. You can also get some information from Powergen Power Technology in Nottingham (ask for Ian Wilson) - he is a boiler systems structural integrity specilist). You can get the numbers from the relevant web sites. Hope this helps, George Wedgwood FIOSH RSP (ex-Powergen and Pressure Systems specialist)
