Posted By Allan St.John Holt Quite a few respondents are now suggesting useful Web links to questioners. Although our Webperson Angela is collecting these to build a new area (and very good it is), I would appreciate it if anyone with a set of personal favourites could email them direct to me. I am currently revising Principles of Health and Safety at Work, and I want to include one or more good links in each Section. These need to be generally useful ones and not too topic-specific. Think of them as 'beginners start here'. I am short of good links especially for electricity, construction, evironmental engineering including LEV, PPE including hearing protection, radiation and stress. Please don't include HSE sources (I have those) or commercial Web sites. Thanks to anyone responding - I will try to thank everyone by email. Allan

Posted By peter gotch Allan, List of useful UK construction links posted on the Construction SG web pages. Personally I use Google www.refdesk.com for most searches, and occasionally Jeeves www.ask.com. Each has their merits dependingon how many potential hits you want to find and what type of hits. The internal search facilities on the HSE and, in particular OSHA web sites are sometimes more targeted. Peter

Posted By Allan St.John Holt I'm trying to collect links that other people find helpful - I have my own sources like yours, Peter! I don't think I'll have room for much in the way of opinion, but maybe some explanation is needed on 'how to'. I am having a bit of bother with my service provider right now, and I know that several people have been good enough to email me. Please send it again!! If you receive an acknowledgement from me, it's arrived. All documents in Word 95 or RTF please. Allan
