Good morning to all,
This morning, my H&S assistant reluctantly handed in his notice and is moving on to a higher management post in the area with a different manufacturing company at a higher rate of pay, so......
There will be a vacancy appearing soon in the Hull Daily Mail and possibly also in the Grimsby and Scunthorpe Evening Telegraph newspapers for a Health and Safety Assistant working within a woodworking and leisure industry manufacturing environment. (Luxury static home manufacture)
NEBOSH General Certificate is the exact qualification being considered for this role.
I am unable to post any details on salary as yet, sorry, as this is now under discussion at HR and Director level... money being one factor in my chap moving on.
All I would positively offer is a great learning opportunity, I have taken on three new starters to H&S previously, and they all attained NVQ 3 whilst in this employ before moving on to better jobs locally.
I will guarantee personally that the person who is taken on will receive quality IOSH standard training, and will be given every opportunity to develop to their highest potential.
Whether they stay the course here or move on to higher things will depend on their enthusiasm and work rate while in the job, but no one has failed to improve their job prospects yet.
Hopefully this is what some of the North East forum members could be looking out for, so watch out for the newspaper advertisements - it will not go to agencies or H&S job sites, and I will be part of any interviewing process.
If anyone wishes to obtain further information informally,
(no c/v's please, they will go in solely through the advert to our HR department for vetting,)
Please pm me at
gatkinson@whh.co.uk - company e mail address, and I will willingly give you a contact phone number for a quick chat about the role, conditions etc before you consider applying.
Good job it's not July yet, isn't it ??
