When stating a move is for more money, interviewers will ask themselves how long would this person stay, and will this person jump ship every time they see a job offering more money? 2. As for the question on how to gain new roles and what area of safety you should go into; that is purely depending on your background, capabilities and skills. 3. Very interesting questions from Raj, I can honestly say there is equal opportunity recruitment in Dubai and nationality is not a problem here for any positions. (80% of the population are expats) Within my team of safety professionals, I have both men and women from 14 nationalities in senior and middle management positions and we are still recruiting on a global basis. As for your last question on people who have not been considered for positions in the past and rejected. It can be for various reasons such as; not having the relevant experience, salary expectations, questionable qualifications, or a better candidates applied at the time etc; I would suggest that you keep trying and the right job will come along. ********* Finally, to everyone I would like to point out that the majority of jobs for health and safety in Dubai are on some of the world’s largest construction projects, which are up to 20 years of development and include some of the world’s tallest buildings both present and future.
