I was a works manager for 6 years and I had the full responsibility for all health and safety on the site therefore I obtained my IOSH managing safely certificate and my NEBOSH certificate. I have also completed training in CDM regs, Coshh, Noise, roof work etc. One thing that I am finding is that my applications are mainly being turned down because I was not a full time health and safety manager/advisor. Anybody out there available to give me some advice or is there a company willing to take me on a non-paid trial period to show my capabilities?
