G'Day all,
Following up on my earlier submission "Coming Home" could you please tell me what legislation is current in the UK. I have hard copies of the Health & Safety At Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health & Safety At Work Regulations 1999, most of which is identical or very similar to the Oz Legislation. It has been suggested that there are others to consider including the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007. I would appreciate any advice. On the other hand if any of you guys are planning a trip and need info I am happy to do the leg work for you with OSH information.
Safe Days : Bill B.

Where to begin?!

A good place to start is the HSE page where they list the statutory instruments that they enforce:

http://www.hse.gov.uk/le...tion/statinstruments.htm
I am sure there will be some there that are relevant to the areas in which you are experienced.

And then there is the page that lists the Acts:

http://www.hse.gov.uk/legislation/acts.htm

Happy reading!

Jane
