I would be grateful if readers of this forum suggest and / or advise me as to whether or not we can = USE ASBESTOS FIRE BLANKET = for the purpose of fire protection in the kitchen where cooking activity for 900 + employees are being carried out as well as well as for welding activities carried out at site.

Get the non-asbestos version there is absolutely no need to introduce such a risk. I am surprised that you have an asbestos one as it is probably 10+ years since these were made. Are you certain it is asbestos? If it is currently there remove it asap - bearing in mind any regulatory requirements!!!.

If your fire blankets are being inspected annually along with your fire extinguishers, any asbestos type should have been 'condemned' years ago.
