Posted By Uday I would be grateful if readers of this forum suggest and / or advise me as to whether or not we can = USE ASBESTOS FIRE BLANKET = for the purpose of fire protection in the kitchen where cooking activity for 900 + employees are being carried out as well as well as for welding activities carried out at site.

Posted By Robert K Lewis Get the non-asbestos version there is absolutely no need to introduce such a risk. I am surprised that you have an asbestos one as it is probably 10+ years since these were made. Are you certain it is asbestos? If it is currently there remove it asap - bearing in mind any regulatory requirements!!!. Bob

Posted By Ken Taylor If your fire blankets are being inspected annually along with your fire extinguishers, any asbestos type should have been 'condemned' years ago.
