With regard to qualifications, it is not compulsory as it is competence that is the issue here. However, I would advise you to get a recognised H&S qualification and quite possibly undertake risk assessment training if you haven't done so already. Just as a matter of interest, do you already have some risk assessment work lined up or are you considering offering this service at some date in the near future?
