Posted By Peter Burnett Recently I was told by site agent whose company told him that there was no requirement to notify the HSE of a CDM project if it did not exceed a 30,000 pounds budget. I have little experience of this area but am aware the requirements to do so if lasts 30+ days etc,etc but never heard baised on monetary value. Your replies would be appreciated.

Posted By Paul Craythorne Peter, An extract from the statutory instrument (4) For the purposes of these Regulations, a project is notifiable if the construction phase: (a) will be longer than 30 days; or (b) will involve more than 500 person days of construction work, and the expression "notifiable" shall be construed accordingly. No mention of £30,000 Hope this clarifies the situation. Regards, Paul Craythorne

Posted By Graham Findlay The site agent is talking rubbish. There is no cost ceiling that decides whether a project is notifiable or not. It is down to the duration of the work on site. Graham
