A friend has recently opened their own hairdressing salon and needs risk assessments on hairdressing procedures.

Has anyone out there got any that they have already done, if not I'm going to have to learn a bit about what goes on in these mystical places!

Thanks

There is some basic information on the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority(HABIA) website;

http://www.habia.org.uk/educator/index.htm

plus there is very extensive documentation available to purchase from their web shop;

You could always try the local College if they undertake training of hairdressers. They should have completed risk assessments and may be prepared to let your friend look at a couple to get an idea of what she should be doing.
I believe there is a National Hairdressers Federation or similar. Again your local College HD Dept should help with this. They used to supply a h and s manual for hairdressers. Not sure of cost.
