Posted By Jane Blunt Dear John Are you wanting to calculate the extent of the zones around a place where a substance that can form an explosive atmosphere can escape? If so, then the method is described in BS EN 60079 part 10 1996 'Electrical apparatus for explosive gas atmospheres; Classification of hazardous areas'. There are some worked examples in the standard, but it is not exactly an easy read! Jane
