Posted By Sharon Are ganglion cysts a cause of RSI? User is a computer operator and has been for 14 years or so and has developed a ganglion cyst on the back of her right hand just in front of the wrist area.

Posted By Lance Morgan Ganglion or synovial cysts are fairly common. They are caused by an accumulation of synovial fluid in a tendon surounding joints usually in the wrist and hand. The precise reason for this occurring is not known. Repetative movement may aggrevate the symptoms but is not necessarily a cause. Most do not cause problems and some resolve without surgical intervention. Hope that helps.
