Yes, I know it's not Friday, but I'm out at a meeting all day tomorrow so I'm starting early.
What's the "H&S" (in its widest sense) question you get asked most often?
I'll start with:
"What's the maximum working temperature in the factory?" and
"What's the maximum weight operators are allowed to lift?"
Any others?
Heather

Regarding our site speed limit - How fast is 10MPH then?
Working at height - How high is 2 meteres?
You get the gist by now - How heavy is 25kgs?
Me: Why aren't you wearing your hearing protection?
Operator: Speak up I can't hear you!
Can I borrow the company camera? - I'm going to make a claim and I want to take a photo of the accident.
Safety! That's not my job, it's yours isn't it?
I've lost my wallet / purse / handbag / umbrella etc. What are you gonna do about it?
When are YOU going to fix X, Y & Z?
Can I be a risk assessor it looks easy?
Are you checking up on me? I'll get the union onto you.
And there are lots more, but I'll give someone else a chance.
Mark

Winter - who has to put down grit/salt, what is the temperature that we don't have to work in
Summer - what is temeprature that we don't have to work in, or why can't we prop open the fire doors with a fire extinguisher.

Anything that starts with....
'can you just....'
apparantly, according to the folks, it was my favourite saying, and now the little ones started with it! Ironic no?
....usually followed by....
'it shouldn't take you long, and can I have it today'

What are you going to charge me for this?
What is this going to cost me?
Where did you get all those letters after your name?
Can I have a job like yours?
Or more seriously
Is CDM really doing any good?
to which the answer is " it is good , very good but only if those applying are good, very good"
Regards
R
