I know the changes will focus attention on adopting the principles of good occupational hygiene practice, rather than on the OES/MEL itself, however does anyone know when this is likely to come into effect, or when we will see changes to the COSHH Regs?

Understood that the requirements were altered late December 2004 to the "Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (Amendment) Regulations 2004".
It notes the changes to MEL / OES to WEL and changes to chromium content in cement type products and changes in a number of areas in the reg's

You are correct. Regs came out in Dec and some bits came into force in Jan. The new exposure limit framework and several other important bits, including the consideration of the principles of good practice for control of exposure, doesn't come into force until 6 April.

Does anyone have a definitive list of the new WEL's to be introduced instead of OES/MELs ?
