Posted By Jon Hookings As part of our manufacturing processes, we also store bottled compressed gases indoors. The hydrogen cylinders we use are stored in an outdoor compound, and are only brought inside when they are needed for the process. At the end of the shift, they are stored back outside, so they are never left in the building unless they are being used. The areas where we use bottled nitrogen, helium and carbon dioxide all have fixed oxygen depletion systems so that an alarm will sound if the oxygen level drops, and the employees will evacuate.
