Hi Bob
Whilst not specific to spray painting, ours is a chemical [liquids and solids] concern, we have LF's every year regardless of where the person works - this includes office staff. As part of the pre-employment medical lung functions are carried out to give a base line and any significant deterioration is investigated by the Occupational Health provider.
As an aside, if there is an underlying problem or history of heart or lung disease, [likewise smokers] this can, and often is considered to be an acceptable explanation for the change.

COSHH 2002 reg 11 states that the maximum period for testing is 12 months for substasnces in schedule 6. For testing required for 11 (2 b there is no specific time mentioned. Am i correct in assumuing that the 12 month maximum applies for both?
Advice appreciated.
