Sat down thought about it and then realised how hard it is without a fancy software package. Anyway I have played all night with excel and come up with what I think is a nice little tool that can be changed to suit ones needs. To get the most from this concept, you will need basic excel skills or access to someone who has. It enables you to add a subject i.e. fire training. You then choose if an employee requires this knowledge to do his job safely. You then choose if he is not trained, in training or trained. Calculations are done and percentages are shown. Can be done so company can show its competency levels in a more in-depth way. The calculator could be adapted for all sorts of applications. i.e. health and safety issues ongoing, completed, pending etc. Complaints and stages to completion. the list could be endless.
