Contact the Community Fire Safety or Fire Investigation Dept at your local FS HQ. Try to talk with the Senior Staff Officer or Training Officer at the very least.

I presume that there is a sound reason for the request and that you can offer the FS some incentive to be involved/ Don't let them take over though.

Thanks for that, I have emailed them, but have been told by a colleague not to expect a quick response!

Try local newpapers either on-line or in person. e.g. this pic of the Rathbone's Bakery Fire.

Hi Kirsty.
Don't email the FS - get on their front door or you probably won't get a response that you can use.

Newspapers are always good as identified earlier.

If you visit the Council's website http://www.cumbria.gov.u...cidents/2005/default.asp you will see a listing of all the fires that have happened in the area this year. It then gives a contact name and telephone number for each fire. For example June 22nd saw a fire involving a cash register at Barrow's ASDA store. Further details can be obtained from Grm Higgins B division headquarters on 01229 615723 during normal office hours.
