Does anyone have a Powerpoint which could be tailored to illustrate some of the techniques for defusing potentially violent situations or handling aggressive people (Utility sector)?

Adam - give the Dept of Work & Pensions a call. Their courses for dealing with violent claimants are probably exactly what you need.

I suggest that a video/DVD would be much better for demonstration of this. If you're in the business, the usual suspects are in the magazine ads!

Check with the Suzy Lamplaugh trust. I think that's how its spelt.
We bought a video of them. It was quite good

It's spelt Suzy Lamplugh

They do a huge range of personal safety training stuff including a leaflet called Working Safely in Other People's Homes and a video called First Steps to Personal Safety at Work which includes stuff about home visits.
