Posted By Andy Johnson Just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for any pointers, guidance, info, etc on employing persons above retirement age. The employee would be working in a builders merchant environment. Just looking to form a policy and any help would be appreciated. Cheers AJ

Posted By Andrew Day Andy im in a similar position only i have the directors father-in-law who is 72 years old and comes in to work 4 days a week by himself at 6.00am until 10.am and he works on a mezzanine floor with no communication system (telephones, mobiles) at all. As i have have mentioned this a few times about lone working and his age the matter goes straight to one side....everybody is dreading if the unthinkable happens...i have just got to keep dropping hints regards A
