By the time scaffolding costs are worked out, it seems as if it might be worth renewing all the rainwater goods - but the client is reluctant to pay for cast iron, so wants "folded" aluminium (never heard of it) rather than cast iron or cast aluminium. How reasonable would it be to work off ladders / climbing boards for isolated repairs, like sealing gutter joints, (a) for gutters at about 4 metres high, (b) gutters on a clerestorey roof (the 4 metres to the aisle eaves, then a 30-degree pitched roof, then 1.5m to the clerestorey eaves)?

Posted By Ken Taylor Doesn't seem like a ladder job to me. You'll probably need 2 hands for the gutter lengths and getting the old gutters out without damaging the brackets - which I suspect they will want to retain!
