We have a petite young lady who is now going out on site and the only thing that I can find is a children's cycling jacket. Standard small sizes aren't small enough. Posted By David Bramall Michael Depending where, or what the site is, maybe it is important that a high degree of "high visibility" is required. Depending on the work that the individual is doing, again a higher or lesser degree of visibility may be appropriate. If it a very hazardous operation / location, I would almost be tempted to insist on high - viz gear which is a larger fit than required for the individual, just for the benefit of higher conspicuity (obviously bearing in mind that if the gear causes other operational problems for the individual - tripping over the sleeves, blown away in the wind etc.) a rethink is required. Posted By Tony Bish Petite size Hi-Viz may be acceptable on a site, but not on the Highway. I am told by our supplier there is a minimum area of material that the waistcote Hi-Viz must contain, as a result the smallest size is medium? A Hi-Viz polo or tee shirt may be a option for the small size.

Posted By MP123 Just to clear up a few myths:- 1) David - HiVis garments are manufactured with an oversize to allow the wearer to wear garments underneath the hivis garment. The oversize is usually 8-12cm on the chest measurement. 2) Tony - What you're supplier has told you is tripe, I suspect he doesn't stock size small! All sleevless vests (S to 5XL) conform to EN471 Class 2, sleeved vests (S - 5XL) confirm to EN471 Class 3. For highway use, you should be looking at a Class 3 vest. 3) 99.9% of all childrens vests only conform to EN1150 due to there being insufficient background material to reach the required EN471 standard. Hope this helps.
