Strange request but can anyone help? I am after childrens dress up PPE in the form of a builders hat and a hi-viz. The reason behind this is a local nursery school has requested a site visit and we would like to give them a keep sake to also incresae safety awareness.
Now before anyone starts, the trip will be risk assessed and they will not require real PPE, as they will not be exposed to any hazards, and will be escorted on designated walkways only.
If anyone can recommend anything at a resaonable cost I would appreciate this....or any other suggestions as to a nice momento.
Maybe IOSH would like to donate a few bits and pieces?

Contact your supplies they may be able to provide some bits and pieces, alternatively contact the usual suspects that supply this sort of equipment.
Sorry not a lot of help.

Homer,
I would suggest high street stores (or thier web sites) such as Early Learning Centre, Woolworths etc or searches around 'bob the builder'.
Regards
Alan

Homer,
Search the Chat archive there was a posting a couple of months ago where someone was trying to obtain Petite PPE for a small lady and someone posted a link to a company that did child sizes, certainly in Hi viz not sure about hats etc.

You should be able to get builder's "outfits"; firemens', etc at Mothercare, Toys r Us, Woolworths, ELC and any other childrens' toys outlets. Expect to pay around £10-ish per outfit. I hope the kids have fun!

most "hard hats" can be adjusted to fit, and they do go down to a very small size.
Hi-viz, just use small sizes, the kids will not mind, they will just accept, and it will be "real kit"
another thought ,you could issue an safety type certifecate afterwards to all who take part.
