What are the maximum capacities (if any) for storage of petrol and diesel, before any specific legislation comes into effect? I've heard 30 ltrs and 200 ltrs banded around. I know there will be regs concerning RA and safe storage for any quantity but i'm mainly thinking of any quantities at which i need to register the storage with a LA etc. Your wisdom and guidance, as always, would be much appreciated. Posted By steve e ashton Matt, Petroleum licensing etc - you need to find out from your local petroleum licensing officer at your local authority. As an example, there is some good advice at: http://www.surreycc.gov....nd+mixtures?opendocument Note that the Highly Flammable Liquids etc regs '72. are no longer in force, and were in any case irrelevant to the question you posed about licensing. I have to say that 15 litres of petrol (amount above which a license is required) has always seemed awfully low... I don't know what the figure is for diesel fuel... Steve
