Posted By tim barton I have been asked to develop the health and safety procedures for our construction company with approx 40 people. I know it's a bit cheeky but has anyone got something I can use, or even some advice. Being new to this game I do not have much experience on implementing procedures so any help off you more experienced guy's and girls would be great. Many Thanks Tim

Posted By Ian G Hutchings Hi Tim My advice is quite straight forward really. - involve the people who do the work in identifying the hazards, controls and the best way to do the job. - keep work instructions very simple and with as little text as possible. - use photographs to show the ideal standard and safe way of working. - don't assume that people will follow them without consultation, involvement, support and monitoring. - process (talk through and discuss) the procedures with people out on the job. Do not just issue and expect compliance. Hope it goes well. All the best Ian
