Can anyone advise me on the regulations regarding high chairs (stools) for users at a counter set up. Should these be on castors or gliders or fixed feet as they are higher up? Your comments woudl be appreciated.

Don't know about regulations, but I wouldn't want mine to be on castors!

Hi,

I don't think there are any specific regulations (none that come to mind). It all comes down to risk and ergonomics - if behind the chair there is a downward slope then perhaps its not a good idea, but otherwise, unless they are ridiculously high or there are ergonomic factors, I don't see an issue

Presumably these will be on a smooth floor?

Occasionally my workstation chair disappears from behind me on a carpeted floor! I would anticipate problems with castors, personally.
