Posted By M Norgate Can anyone advise me on the regulations regarding high chairs (stools) for users at a counter set up. Should these be on castors or gliders or fixed feet as they are higher up? Your comments woudl be appreciated.

Posted By Alan Hoskins Don't know about regulations, but I wouldn't want mine to be on castors!

Posted By andrew morris Hi,
I don't think there are any specific regulations (none that come to mind). It all comes down to risk and ergonomics - if behind the chair there is a downward slope then perhaps its not a good idea, but otherwise, unless they are ridiculously high or there are ergonomic factors, I don't see an issue

Posted By Alan Hoskins Presumably these will be on a smooth floor?
Occasionally my workstation chair disappears from behind me on a carpeted floor! I would anticipate problems with castors, personally.
