Posted By Teresa Green Are there any legal implications of a Client approving a method statement as opposed to accepting it?

Accepting, approving or reviewing method statements is largely a matter of semantics. After an incident, a well known company has allegedly gone from approving method statements to reviewing them. I am not sure that legally there is any difference because health and safety is usually a shared liability between all duty holders.

Posted By Jim-F It is the responsibility of the principle contractor to review and approve a suitable and sufficient method statement, if this is not done and documented and things go badly wrong then the HSE will be looking for a paper trail
