Could anyone advise me where I can get information on violence at work. The occupation under examination is people who work with alcoholics and drug users in a residential and non residential centre i.e. drop in centre. Any advice would be appreciated. I am completing an assignment.

Try contacting your local Mental Health Trust as they have specialist units dealing with these people and normally have well proven systems.

Try searching for information on 'challenging behaviour' rather than violence. I work for a charity which supports people with these behaviour patterns, and it is never refered to as 'violence'.
