A recent audit by an external source has highlighted the fact that we are currently not using a 'checklist system' for tools and equipment in our Bodyshop department.

Does anyone have an example of the sort of checklist we should be using?

My aim is to produce a suitable checklist which i can then adapt to meet the needs of our other departments.

How strange? Last year at my previous job we were also audited and the same problem arose.

I do not have a checklist but would suggest it should be made up as an inventory with some basic info, such as part number, date of inspection (if relevant), date of calibration etc.

Regards
