Just putting together a report for my directors (after only 8 months of trying!). Any using the financial argument throughout, but I'm trying to find some useful research / info / quotes on employee satisfaction.

Most of our staff are well eductaed, skilled and mobile, and some have definately left because they're 'stressed' or because H&S isn't what it should be.

Rather than anonymous anecdotal advice, could anyone point me in the direction of some hard 'facts'??

Thanks in advance,
Al.

Hi, I'd be most interested in the format you have used with regards to the "financial argument". I've just joined an organisation which massively oversold its commitment to H & S in the interview, and now I'm having problems getting anything more then the basics done "due to cost".

Hello Al/Richard....

As there is an infinite range of 'facts' available, I wonder what exactly you want 'facts' about.

If you want 'facts' about current motivation in your own organisation, you are better placed than I am at present to gather them.

If you want indications of how to do so, safety writers like David Sarkus, the Safety Coach, and Scott Geller, the safety psychologist, have written useful material to consult and selectively quote.

Further to Kieran's post, there are very few 'facts' in relation to employee satisfaction that is generalisable to all organisations. If you are wanting to use employee satisfaction as leverage to justify further investment or H&S achievements I am afraid that it is certainly lower down the priority list in many companies. Considering your sector, you might want to look at data demonstrating how H&S has improved services to your end users and in turn, what has the knock on effects been on staff.

Hope this helps
