We require the use of steps integrated to the trailers or mobile steps but in some cases neither if these options are viable. Many trailers have substantial bars along their length (to prevent other vehicles going under in the event of RTA). Are these consider in the haulage industry to be considered a safe means o0f access? Pulling up via the post supporting the roof. Posted By Martin Taylor Breaking news - I have found out today that the product demonstrated on HSE site - (simple ladder complete with hand rail and clamping system to suit all trailer types)- is being prototyped as we type by a major ladder manufacturer (starts with Y - hope that's not advertising) - they expect to have something in the next month or so Martin
