Posted By Raymond Rapp Choosing my words very carefully...a colleague (QS) approached me this morning and showed me a Bill for two percent of his alleged turnover from a well know provider of construction safety skills. I was amazed and so was he because his turnover as a consultant was billed at £300k! I'm in the wrong job.
Anyway, I was not aware that companies could be charged a percentage of turnover by a training provider - call me naive if you like. Nice little earner if you can get it!
Comments welcome.

Posted By teaboy without knowing all the details, i would imagine you are talking about the levy that is applied to all construction companies and is a percentage of their wage bill. payment of the levy is mandatory if your wage bill is over the qualifying threshold
email me directly if you want any further info
