Posted By GavinR Hi, quick question. We are installing a job crane (SWL 250kg,180o radius). For installation requirements to be met under stabilty and strength of LOLER is it always necessary to dig a full foundation square for a crane or can the stability for the depth be ascertained from the size of plug/bolts you use?

Posted By Bob Youel All the benefits of a crane are lost if the base is not suitable - I advise that an appropriate engineer is engaged to design a suitable base as if it goes wrong at a later date!!!!!

Posted By al wood i agree with bob you will need to employ the services of a competent engineer to determine the suitability of the base and the anchor bolts.
