Posted By Swis Cabbies (taxi drivers) are required to have fire extinguishers and first aid kits in their cabs. What laws govern such requirements? Is there a (real) need for these? What purpose do these kits serve if the driver is not adequately trained? Your serious opinions will be highly appreciated.

Posted By martinw I thought that it was the PSV Act 1981 or the Road Traffic Regulations 1989. Either way, I will have a look on Tuesday, work permitting.
