Cabbies (taxi drivers) are required to have fire extinguishers and first aid kits in their cabs. What laws govern such requirements? Is there a (real) need for these? What purpose do these kits serve if the driver is not adequately trained? Your serious opinions will be highly appreciated.

Prob comes under Licensing, possibly LGA 76 (misc provisions) - as you work on LA try your licensing team.

I thought that it was the PSV Act 1981 or the Road Traffic Regulations 1989. Either way, I will have a look on Tuesday, work permitting.
