Posted By Peter MacDonald If you work from home do you need to display a no smoking sign in your "office".
Is it a legal requirment to have a sign displayed in your company car.
Thanks

Posted By Francis E S Hone If your Office is in your home and you have no visitors or employees concerned with your employment why would you need a no smoking policy ITS your home. If however you Meet with people from work for business reasons in that office then your office would need to be a smoke free office as it would affect others. if your car is a company car and you are its only user at work with no work related passengers you can smoke in it if your company policy allows you to. if others are likely to use the car for company business as passengers or drivers then you would need to put a no smoking sign in place as others would be affected (just as driving instructors are required to do) regards Frank

Posted By Phil Rose You may want to have a look at http://www.smokefreeengl...ng_u_need_new_sf_law.pdf2 extracts (I do not see any copyright on the doc) WORKING FROM HOME Any part of a private dwelling used solely for work purposes will be required to be smokefree if: it is used by more than one person who does not live at the dwelling or members of the public attend to deliver or to receive goods and/or services. SMOKEFREE VEHICLES The new law will require vehicles to be smokefree at all times if they are used: to transport members of the public or in the course of paid or voluntary work by more than one person – regardless of whether they are in the vehicle at the same time.
