Posted By Ian MacAskill Is there a legal requirement to have fixed sensors to monitor for potential leaking of Carbon Monoxide from gas heating flues in an very large building?

Posted By Ian MacAskill Sorry, not Environmental monitoring - that is addressed by permit. This is for Personnel exposure risk. I will carry out a risk assessment but need to know if there is a "Legal" requirement for fixed monitoring ahead of the assessment (as opposed to personal monitoring to an infrequently visited well ventilated open area).

Posted By Richard Altoft I believe this falls to so far as reasonably practicable under COSHH and under HASWA. If risk is great then monitoring should be provided. I do not know of specific legislation. R

Posted By Fred Pratley Probably the best place to obtain advice will be your heating service engineers as I know there is a requirement for heaters to be periodically inspected and there are specific requirements about ventilation but I have never come across a requirement for fixed monitoring.
