Hi, I have also been looking at taking this course but was waiting to register to start the course in February 2011. Do you know if this means Portsmouth will not be running the course until September 2011?

If so I would also be interested in alternative courses if anyone has any ideas.

I have just e-mailed Portsmouth uni on this, as I recieved details on this course on Friday 04/08/10 stating that they were..!!!!
It would be nice to have confirmation. One of my colleagues has been trying to start the diploma (Nebosh) with the BSC and this has been cancelled twice due to lack of numbers. This course looked like an ideal alternative.

I have completed the BSc Occ S, H & E at the University of Greenwich and from my own experience would recommend it due to the overall standard of tuition, learning material etc.

I am looking to start an MSc, more than likely at Greenwich. They have a January intake as a previous poster has indicated and the cut-off point for application is late November.

I hope this info may be of use to those of you who are looking for an MSc course to start earlier than September of next year.

I completed an MSc in health, safety & environmental management at the Uninversity of Glamorgan Wales, this was tuff and there are a lot of dead lines. Though mine was a 3 year course which required attendance i am sure the will or would do a distance learning course. you will need to speak to Dr Dawn Story

Have you considered the new MSc Risk Management at Nottingham Trent University which is primarily distance learning (with optional attendance) starting in October.

It has 4 pathways depending on what you want to do. The pathways are:
•Health and Safety Management
•Corporate Responsibility
•Health and Well-Being
•Environmental Management Practice (Associate Certificate in Environmental Management is recognised by the Institution of Environmental Management and Assessment for associate membership purposes).

I also applied for Msc in Portsmouth which was rescheduled for next year but luckliy i also applied for Msc in health,safety and Risk management in Robert Gordon University which will start this septemeber and its done in both distance and partime mode. I suggest you enquire about it ,for me the course module is rich and i cant wait to start the course.
