Fellow safety nerds This isn't really my thing, but I'm trying to help out a sister company. For a mainly OFFICE based business (approx 300 employees) , what proactive and reactive monitoring measurements would you recommend for 18001 approval? Many thanks for any help/pointers

Hey Sdkfz181 The bible for H&S management system implementation is HSG 65: http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/priced/hsg65.pdf in particular the section on monitoring on p 59

In addition to Jay's list you might like to consider: monitoring the extent to which the organisation's OH&S objectives are met? corrective and preventive actions identified, closed out, and recorded? do preventive actions identify opportunities for continual improvement? are investigations performed in good time and communciated to interested parties?

Thanks very much for the responses. Does anybody have specific examples, rather than repeating the content of 18002/HSG65, which I already have a copy of. (original paid for copy, I might add!)
