That's going to depend very much on the complexity of the building. Important principle is to ensure that relevant information is obtained from specialist contractors (M&E, IT telecomms, etc.) BEFORE they leave! This should include marked-up drawings. Too often consideration of matters for the H&S File is left to the Project end, when these specialists (and the information they had) is long gone. Chances are they've also been paid, so chasing them for information is a futile exercise. The good CDM-C will analyse the build complexity and sequencing and recognise key dates when specialist info will become available and keep a close contact with Project Team to capture any significant change to design during the Construction Phase.
