Good morning all, Would anyone have detail and/or guidelines on conducting and facilitating a HAZID workshop. The industry involved is offshore wind. Best regards, R

I chair/manage/supervise/lead HAZID and HAZOP studies on a frequent basis. You will need to develop a good list of relevant guidewords to help prompt discussion during the HAZID study.

It is good practice for the HAZID leader to be independent of the project.

Hi, the relevant industry H&S guidelines (see http://www.renewableuk.c...-and-offshore-wind-farms) should provide you with a starter-for-10... Regards, Ross

I would advise that you get appropriately trained and start as a team member before you become a lead

Thank you all, the guidelines are not for me to become a facilitator, more for a taster and understanding of the whole process. I've been involved in lots of HAZOPS but not really delved into HAZIDS yet. Thanks, R

I would also be interested in HAZID Facilitators/Chairs to carry out a HAZID workshop. R

How does a Hazid differ from a Hazop and where did the term/technique come from?

A HAZID tends to look at wider project risks/hazards and is usually done at a 'higher' level. A traditional HAZOP is more concerned with temperatures, pressures, levels etc in a fluid or gas based system. Although by adapting the guidewords and parameters HAZOP can be used on a wider range of topics/issues
