Hi all I was wondering if anyone in the healthcare sector (Trusts) are using a software package to record ward or departmental health and safety risk assessments eg general managment regs , coshh , dse ? We have an electronic system up and running for incidents already so I dont need this element. (It isnt possible to intergrate the specific H&S risk assessmets into the current system) . I would welcome anyones experiences in using one or recommending a suitable one ? Many thanks

Hi King44632, Is the system you have currently running called Datix? This is a common risk management system among Trusts (The ones i have worked in anyhow!!!). I am no Guru on it but we used to use for all incident reporting and our Guru used to help with loading risk assessments on (as per management regs). This was really useful in keeping clinical and non-clinical (H&S) risk assessments and Governance in one place and was good in populating risk registers for the various directorate meetings, etc. As i say i am no expert but there may be someone in a Trust near you that may be of help. Hope this helps? Bert

Hi Bert Yes - Its Datix. We can attach H&S assessments as a pdf. However we really want to set up the system where we can view the detail of the various H&S assessments and more importantly run summary reports on how many assessments have been completed within the various service/ ward areas. (for audit / compliance purposes). Seems like Datix can't do the detail. Thanks for your help. R

There are many systems out there that can do this, a forum search may help. Many will also link with existing systems, it will depend on your exact requirements and budget, we found it cheaper to go to another provider (not a Trust or using your system though)
